A fantastic period female marble bust sculpture of Madame du Barry, mistress to Louis XV, made in 1773, when Augustin Pajou was 43 years of age. Thus, it may be considered a work belonging to the Mature period of Augustin Pajou, this piece is now housed in the Louvre collection, Paris.
